ABF - FIGF Research Grant 2025-26

Applications for Aubrey Barker Fund – FIG Foundation Research Grant are now open!
The Aubrey Barker Fund and FIG Foundation are pleased to invite applications for the 2025-26 Research Grant with the theme: “AI Applications in Surveying and Land Management”. Grants of up to 20,000 euro are available to individual or group applications, for projects of up to 1 year in length that demonstrate a lasting impact on a developing country community and/or society, and further the knowledge of artificial intelligence applications in the fields of surveying and land management.
Key evaluation criteria include:
- Address the theme: “AI Applications in Surveying and Land Management”
- Benefit to the community and/or society (of a developing country)
- Benefit to the surveying and land management profession
- Contribution to new knowledge or applications of artificial intelligence in the fields ofsurveying and land administration/management
- Utilisation of the grant to provide sustained education and/or professional development benefits
- Promotion of the profession of surveying and land management
- Incorporation of good practice
- Demonstrated consideration of the needs and inclusion of minority and vulnerable groups
- Appropriate and comprehensive project plan and budget
Applications should be submitted to grants@aubreybarkerfund.org using the Application Form below, and the subject line Application for ABF-FIGF Research Grant. Applications are due before 11:59pm (GMT) on Sunday 11th May 2025.
